Lucknow, Aug 6 (UNI) A Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today stayed any punitive action against Principal Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Rajendra Prasad Pandey till further orders.
A bench comprising Justices K K Mishra and S C Chaurasiya passed this order, while hearing a petition, challenging an FIR against the Principal Secretary.
Besides, the bench ordered the state government to file counter affidavit and rejoinder affidavit within three weeks and one week respectively.
The petition was filed by Mr Pandey, whose counsel rejected the charges against the petitioner, saying he was being trapped.
On July 28, one Lajjavati had filed an FIR in Hazratganj police station against the Principal Secretary for abetting her husband, a Subedar, to commit suicide.
