Eight killed by lightning in MP

Tikamgarh(MP), Aug 6: In past two days, eight people had been killed and more than six burnt in separate incidents of lightning in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh, police said on Wednesday, Aug 6.

Rachna Raikwar(10), a class II student, died on the spot when lightning fell on a school building in Dhimarpura village on Monday, Aug 4.

Rakhi(9), Sita(10) and Kiran(11) were severely burnt and admitted to the Jhansi Medical College.

Ajay Singh Yadav(32) and Jayanti Raikwar(12) were killed in similar incidents in Mohanpura village and Khera village on Monday, Aug 4.

Chandabai(28), Mankubai Bashankar(45), Sukna Kushwah(35) and Dharmednra Pal(13) were killed in similar incidents in different villages in Jatara area Tuesday, Aug 5.

In another incident, Dhanush, a class XI student, was killed when lightning struck him at Babai village in Jatara area. His mother was severley burnt in the incident. Eight goats also died in the incident.

Three people were injured when lightning fell on the house of Shivprasad at Hiranagar village.
