Badal urges PM to order probe into Ishmeet's death
Chandigarh, Aug 6 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to order an inquiry from an appropriate authority into the death of popular singer Ishmeet Singh who had reportedly drowned in the swimming pool of a resort in Male.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mr. Badal stressed that Ishmeet's parents and a mammoth gathering at his 'bhog' ceremony at Ludhiana, had requested him to get an inquiry conducted into the cause of death as they feared foul play because of professional rivalry.
He also said it had been reported in the media that many sections of public had also raised apprehensions regarding the cause of death of the budding singing star and only a proper probe could put all such doubts at rest.
