Bangalore, Aug 5: The self-appointed watchdogs of Karnataka and Kannada, the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike issued a stern warning to all political leaders to speak only Kannada in the state Assembly.
They attacked the office of BJP MLA Derrick Fullinfaw because he had spoken in English in the Assembly. Reacting to such atrocity Fullinfaw said, “The fact remains that we being Anglo Indians, I find it very difficult to speak in Kannada without any disrespect to the language. In fact my wife speaks excellent Kannada. If I knew Kannada I would have become a big leader in the state by now," .
Leader of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Anajanapa said, “If anyone speaks in any other language besides Kannada in the Assembly, they will face the wrath of our group." Though they have no standing in the Assembly, the group is rather cracking the political arena soon.
