Police not showing interest in investigating cases:DGP
Vijayawada, Aug 5 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) S S P Yadav today said the police was not showing interest in investigating important cases.
Addressing the police personnel after declaring open the 51th AP State Police Duty Meet-2008 here, Mr Yadav said the standard of investigation was not not inspiring to the level he expected it.
Hoping a change in the attitude of the policemen when they go back to their respective units, the DGP asked them to improve the quality of investigation and raise to the expectations of the people in their endeavour.
The winners in the meet could participate in the national events and can achieve laurels to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The four-day police duty meet was being held in the city from today in which over 400 policemen from different parts of the state would participate to hone up their investigating skills besides improving their efficiency.
Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K Jana Reddy would participate in the valedictory function on August 8.
