No unemployment with industrialisation, says YSR
Visakhapatnam, Aug 5 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today claimed with industries coming up in various sectors including pharma and IT, the problem of unemployment will be solved completely.
Addressing the press here, Dr Reddy said several industries were coming up in Praksam District. A shipyard and few ports were also on being set up in the State.
Sri Lankan-based Brandix Clothmaking was setting up a unit in Andhra Pradesh. Pharmacy, shipyards, ports and IT Industries were also coming up.
The Visakhapatnam Steel Plant(VSP) was proposed to be merged with National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and Hindustan Ship Yard (HSL) would be taken to the Defence Wing.
The future of the State's costal districts and the city looked bright with rapid industrialisation.
Hiking capacity of Visakha Refinery and establishing greenfield petrochemical complex in the city were some of the other highlights of industrialisation, he added.
On welfare measures, he said his government had alloted Rs 450 crore for the implementation of 'Arogyasri' Health Scheme in Andhra Pradesh.
He said his government had almost fulfilled the promises made in the 2004 election manifesto besides taking up those which had not been stated in it.
