Meghalaya Planning Board office opens in Delhi
Shillong, Aug 5: In a bid to woo investors and facilitate a bridge between the Centre and state, the Meghalaya government has opened the branch office of the State Planning Board in New Delhi.
State Planning Board Chairman Purno A Sangma said the Board office would act as an ''information office'' to find out schemes and projects of the Centre for Meghalaya.
Mr Sangma said the branch office would also perform duties of seeking Central developmental schemes for the state.
''The CMP of the MPA government did not promise big things but contains small yet well thought-out plans which are achievable, need-based and relevant for steady all-round development of the state,'' Mr Sangma said.
