Mumbai, Aug 5 (UNI) Yesteryear Actor and Filmmaker Manoj Kumar today filed a suit in a local court, seeking a stay on telecast of the movie 'Om Shanti Om', scheduled to be aired on August ten on Sony entertainment channel.
Earlier, Mr Kumar had filed a case against Shah Rukh Khan, producer of the film, its director Ms Farah Khan and Sony entertainment channel, seeking deletion of a scene from the film, showing him in a poor light. However, the film was released in theatres without deletion of the scene.
The city civil court admitted the matter and posted it for a hearing tomorrow.
Mr Kumar, in his petition, objected to the scene, wherein he was shown to be insulted.
He stated that the scene had been filmed in such a manner, which directly affects and damages his reputation.
The actor prayed to the court that till the final disposal of the suit, Sony entertainment should be restrained from showing the film.
