Delhi Police SI arrested for seeking bribe
New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) A Sub-Inspector of the Delhi Police was today arrested for allegedly demanding bribe from a bus driver to get him released on bail.
SI Nand Kishore, posted at Ashok Vihar police station, was arrested in a trap laid by the Anti-Corruption Bureau after the driver complained about him demanding bribe to get him released on bail in a case of eve teasing, said the police.
Yesterday, students of Satyawati College had alleged that the driver and helper of the bus had misbehaved with them. After the case was registered, the SI asked for Rs 20,000 to get their bail.
The deal was later fixed at Rs 10,000.
Nand Kishore was arrested for demanding bribe, police added.
