Mysore, Aug 5 (UNI) Tourists and visitors to the world famous Brindavan Garden in KRS will be under scanner with authorities deciding to monitor their movement through Close Circuit Camara installed near the dam.
The step was taken as precautionary measure following recent serial bomb blast in Bangalore in which one woman was killed and nine others injured.
According to sources at KRS the camera, installed at the boat point facing the dam, would start functioning from tomorrow. The camera's coverage area was about 2 km and the control room is in the police outpost in KRS from where the movements of the visitors would be monitored.
Besides the camera installed at a cost of Rs eight lakhs, the police have already started video-graphing the movements of the visitors and vehicles which is coming to the reservoir every day.
As a precautionary measure, additional police personnel have already been deployed at krs.
A KSRP van comprising 30 personnel was currently on duty and another was expected in a day or two. Apart from this, 46 civil police personnel are deployed. There would be additional personnel numbering about 50 soon.
Meanwhile the vistors to the dam has increased since the water level is reaching its maximum level. The level today stood at 116.20 feet against the full capacity of 124.80 feet. The inflow was 19056 cusecs and outflow was maintained at 21900 cusecs including for irrigation purposes, the sources added.
