Jammu, Aug 5 (UNI) A fresh batch comprising 295 pilgrims left for Amarnath cave shrine from Bhagwati Nagar base camp here this morning amid tight security, official reports said.
As per reports, 295 pilgrims, including 92 males, 51 females, a child and 151 sadhus headed for the cave situated in south kashmir around 0505 hrs.
Despite inclement weather on national highway en route Jammu to Srinagar, there were no reports of suspension of yatra.
The yatra witnessed immense decline after protests rocked Jammu and Kashmir over restoration of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
