Wipro wins multi million IT Outsourcing contract

Bangalore, Aug 4: Wipro Infotech, a leading provider of IT and business transformation services, on Monday, August 4 announced that it has won a large IT outsourcing contract from Spencer's Retail Ltd.

Spencer's has selected Wipro for delivering Infrastructure Management Services for a period of five years. As part of the scope, Wipro is responsible for providing IT infrastructure support for all the stores, distribution centers, regional and zonal offices for Spencer's apart from also supporting future store roll outs. A Wipro release said the contract would leverage its state of the art Global Service Management Centre in Mysore to provide real time information through dashboards thus making the entire delivery process more proactive for Spencer's.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Amit Mukherjee, Chief Information Officer, RPG Enterprises, said that "we are confident that this partnership will be highly rewarding."
