TDP to intensify stir against Minister's brother
Hyderabad, Aug 4 (UNI) The main Opposition TDP in Andhra Pradesh will intensify its stir, demanding the arrest of Panchayatiraj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy's brother J C Prabhakara Reddy, a private bus operator, for alleged ''criminal intimidation'' of Road Transport Authority officials here last week.
Addressing a press conference here, TDP SC Cell President V Ramaiah found fault with Home Minister K Jana Reddy for trying to reach at a ''compromise'' with the organisations representing the Backward Classes, instead of allowing the law to take its own course.
The Minister's brother was punishable under IPC Sections 353 and 506 for barging into the RTA office and ''misbehaving with the officials there,'' he said.
''Let the Home Secretary or Director General of Police react on the whole episode,'' he added.
