Bidar, Karnataka, Aug 4 (UNI) Six people, including three children and two women, were killed in two separate rain related incidents in North Karnataka today.
Police said in the first incident three people, including two women, were killed on the spot when a compound wall collapsed on them at Khada-B Village in Bidar District in the early hours today.
Police said today that the compound wall of a neighbouring house fell on the victims who were asleep.
In the other incident reported from Sukalpet area in Sindhanur town of Raichur district, three children were crushed to death, while two others were injured, when the roof of their home collapsed on them in the wee hours of today.
Police said the roof of the dilapidated house suddenly collapsed while they were asleep killing them on the spot. They were identified as Siddarameshwara (5), Mallikarjuna (two) and Lakshmi (11).
The bodies were extricated from the debris and sent to government hospital for post mortem. The injured had been shifted to a hospital.
