Raipur, Aug 4 (UNI) Search continued to trace the missing helicopter that went missing on its way from Hyderabad to Raipur despite bad weather in Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The helicopter with main pilot captain V P Singh, assistant pilot R Gaur, engineer Santosh and a technician on board left Hyderabad around 1500 yesterday and search for it began as it did not arrive at Jagdalpur for refueling around 1630 hours.
The aircraft had been hired by the state government from Raina Aviation company for conveying Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ramvichar Netam and other party leaders to attend programme of BJP President Rajnath Singh in Jharkhand.
The helicopter went missing near Kirundal in Dantewara district of Chhattisgarh and Venkatpuram district of Andhra Pradesh. Two Chetaks from Andhra Pradesh and one helicopter from Chhattisgarh were searching for the missing aircraft.
