Washington, Aug 4: Give us inteligence, then we will fight terrorism. This sure sounds like a barter system in the process. But this is what Pakistan is telling United States.
Pakistan has asked the United States to provide it modern equipment and enhance intelligence sharing to fight terrorism challenges more effectively along its border with Afghanistan. The News, quoting from a report in an American newspaper, said Pakistani officials have asked for more intelligence sharing, training and equipment for its forces, including night-vision goggles and the latest technology for intercepting communications. A senior Pakistani official said: "We believe that there is more that the United States can do as well, and that we have asked it to do".
