Karuna has violated oath of office, must resign: Swamy
Chennai, Aug 4 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today demanded the resignation of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and Union Minister T R Baalu in the wake of a contempt notice and the arrest warning issued by the Supreme Court in a contempt case.
In a statement here, Dr Swamy said the arrest warning by the Apex Court implied that they had prima facie violated their oath of office of swearing to abide by the Constitution.
He also congratulated AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa for being vigilant on the issue.
