Goa cabinet approves draft policy on mining
Panaji, Aug 4 (UNI) The Goa cabinet has approved a draft policy on mining that accounts for a large chunk of foreign exchange to the country besides contributing to the state's economy.
The policy will be placed before the public for discussion and suggestions within sixty days before finalising the policy, chief minister Digambar Kamat told mediapersons here today.
The draft policy, framed by a committee headed by the state mines department secretary, would be widely circulated besides placing it in the state website, seeking suggestions, Mr Kamat added.
