Chennai, Aug 4 (UNI) After legendary Indian Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand, Sujatha Biotech has signed up Indian Cricket Captain and youth icon Mahindra Singh Dhoni as its brand Ambassador for Nivaran 90, a cough syrup and Memory Vita, a memory enhancing health drink.
Addressing a press conference here, Company Founder C K Rajkumar said Dhoni, who had taken the cricketing world by storm, had been signed for two years.
He would be the brand ambassador of the two products till July 31, 2010.
Legendary Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand, who was the brand ambassador for Memory Plus for three years could not renew the contract due to his international commitments, Dr Rajkumar said while thanking the chess wizard for the quick acceptance of the product by the consumers and becoming a leading brand in India, US and Australia.
As part of its ongoing commitment to Research and Development, the company has developed Memory Vita, a 'first-of-its-kind' health drink, he claimed and hoped Dhoni would take the products to greater heights in th next two years.
Dhoni has been initially signed up to promote the products in the doemstic market and the company proposed to sign a separate contract with him to sell the products in SAARC and other cricket-playing countries.
Dr Rajkumar said the company was planning to sign Dhoni and off spinner Muthiah Muralitharan to sell the products in Sri Lanka.
Similarly, the company would tie-up local cricketers, along with Dhoni, when it takes the products to other cricket-playing countries. "The company would enter international market in the next two to three months," he said.
