Cash-for-vote: 3 MPs to appear before panel on Aug 7
New Delhi, Aug 4: The seven-member Committee probing the cash-for-vote scam summoned the three BJP MPs, who had complained about alleged offer of money to them for the July 22 trust vote in Parliament, before it on Aug 7.
Inquiry Committee Head V Kishore Chandra Deo, after the meeting, told newspersons that the panel has viewed all the seven CDs comprising five visual compact discs and two audio discs handed over to the Committee by the Speaker's office. He said the Committee, after going through these CDs, has directed the Secretary of the Committee to have the transcript of all those CDs.
Asked whether the visuals are clear enough to identify the individuals, Mr Deo said the Committee has been set up to find the truth. In reply to another question whether the audio CDs are clear, Mr Deo said, ''I can't say anything on that right now.''
