ABN AMRO hikes BPLR by 50 bps
Mumbai, Aug 4 (UNI) The Netherlands-based ABN AMRO bank has hiked its benchmark prime lending rate (BPLR) by 50 basis points from 15.25 per cent to 15.75 per cent with effect from August one.
In response to a hike in repo rate and cash reserve ratio (CRR) announced by Reserve bank of India last week, the bank's board of directors resolved to revise its lending rates, an ABN Amro release said here today.
The BPLR has been increased by the Bank after a gap of over one year, it added.
