BPCC demands Rs 10 lakh compensation for Lakhisarai victims
Patna, Aug 3(UNI) The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) today demanded the state government to pay a compensation of Rs 10 lakh and a government job to the next of Lakhisarai victims' kins.
Altogether 32 labourers were killed and 16 injured when a truck carrying them fell into a river under Lakhisarai police station yesterday.
The BPCC president said a dwelling unit under Indira Awas Yojna should also be given to each victim's family.
The party also formed a team of seven members headed by senior leader Dr Mahachandra Prasad Singh to visit the site of accident.
