Belgaum, Aug 2 (UNI) Police today arrested a banned SIMI activist and suspected terrorist Tanvir Abdulsattar Mulla and recovered from a gas cylinder which he had modified for preparing bomb.

Police said that three CDs were also recovered from him. The CDs contained details for preparation of bombs, Jehadi material, provocative speeches and method of training at Afghanistan.

On interrogation it was revealed that Mulla had successfully tried at Shinoli village the bomb prepared by him.

Mulla, who was arrested on May 14 along with three other SIMI activists Liyaqat Ali Syed and others, was released since there was no prima facie evidence of his involvement in terrorist activists.

However, he was nabbed today following revelation of his involvement in terrorist activity by Dr Munroz who was arrested at Indore. Six other localists were also arrested by the police earlier.

Mulla has disclosed that he had visited Kuwait and was working as Waiter in a hotel.

Police are investigating into his foreign links and involvement in recent serial bomb blasts in Gujarat and Bangalore where in more than 35 people were killed and scores injured.
