Kidwai presents Distinguished Fellowship Awards
Chandigarh, Aug 2 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai presented Distinguished Fellowship Award-2008 to Haryana Chief Secretary Dharam Vir for his outstanding contribution in the field of public administration at a function organised to mark the 19th Foundation Day of the Institute of Directors at India Habitate Centre, New Delhi here today.
Mr Dharam Vir is an IAS officer of 1973 batch. He did his B.Sc (Hons) in Physics from IIT Kharakpur in 1969 and M.Sc in Physics from IIT, Kanpur in 1971 and MBA from the University of Leeds, UK in 1988.
Before taking over as Chief Secretary of Haryana Government, Mr Dharam Vir has held various important posts. He is also in the Board of Directors of various leading Institutions.
The Distinguished Fellowship Award - 2008 was also presented to the Secretary, Corporate Affairs, Government of India, Mr Anurag Goel, the Secretary, Industrial Policy and Promotion, Government of India Mr Ajay Shankar, the Secretary, Literacy, Government of India A.K.Rath and Secretary, Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation, Dr H.S.Anand on the occasion.
