Gandhinagar turns 44
Gandhinagar, Aug 2 (UNI) Gujarat capital Gandhinagar today turned 44, with the first brick for the foundation of the city being laid on August 2, 1965.
Gandhinagar Citizens Association and Gujarat Electricity Board jointly celebrated the occasion.
Secretary in-charge Gandhinagar, on the occasion, said it is the duty of the citizens to keep the city clean and peaceful.
A two-minute silence was observed in memory of the victims of the July 26 serial blasts in Ahmedabad at Gandhinagar railway station.
