Two suspects in serial blasts in Bangalore and Ahmebadad arrested

Siliguri, Aug 1 (UNI) A team of Delhi police today arrested two prime suspects allegedly involved in serial blasts in Bangalore and Gujarat recently.

Inspector General of Police, North Bengal, Kundan Lal Tamta said acting on a tip-off the Delhi police in assocation with Bengal police arrested Mohammad Yessin and Mohammad Moinuddin, both Bangladeshi nationals, from New Jalpaiguri outpost area near the Indo-Bangla border.

Five crude bombs and other firearms were also seized from their possession, the IGP added.

Earlier, one Mohammad Hakim alias Dulal Pal, a resident of Baikunthapalli near here, was arrested in Delhi on July 25 and brought to Siliguri for interrogation yesterday.

Based on the information provided by him, the two other suspects were arrested today.

Mohammad Hakim was allegedly involved in several low-intensity blasts trigerred throughout Delhi during the past one year, the IGP informed.

Both the accused will be produced in the Jalpaiguri Chief Judicial Magistrate's court today.

Meanwhile, police were interrogating all the three suspects to ascertain their involvement in the Bangalore and Ahmedabad serial blasts and probe their links with other terror networks.

A massive manhunt was also on in the region to nab the other members of the gang, the IGP said.
