S K Chaturvedi assumes charge of PGCL CMD
New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Mr S K Chaturvedi today assumed the charge of Chairman and Managing Director of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCL), the country's largest power transmission company.
Prior to joining PGCL, Mr Chaturvedi was working as Director (Personnel) with NHPC Ltd.
A Post Graduate from Lucknow University, he has served 30 years in frontline PSUs such as NMDC, NTPC, PGCL and NHPC Ltd.
Mr Chaturvedi, in his earlier stint in PGCL, was instrumental in amalgamation of various power utilities in the company and steering latest HR interventions in the organization, a statement said.
He is associated with number of national and international institutions including SCOPE as its governing body member, President Power HR Forum, Member Government of India's Minimum Wage Committee and Employers Representative on Standing Labour Committee.
Mr Chaturvedi, who has several papers and articles in journals of national and international repute, has the rare distinction of having experience in Thermal, Hydro Projects and Transmission of Power for more than three decades, the statement said.
