Haryana govt declares certain VAT forms invalid
Chandigarh, Aug 1 (UNI) The Haryana Government has declared certain VAT-D3 outward challan forms as obsolete and invalid and as such no dealer will be allowed any claim of input tax on the purchases covered by any of the invalid forms.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Excise and Taxation Department said that these invalid forms were being used by some unscrupulous dealers, which is illegal. One such dealer had already been detected using these invalid forms and criminal action had been initiated against him and his accomplices, he added.
The dealers, who have received any transaction or purchase with the invalid VAT-D3 outward form should inform the department. The department is conducting thorough enquiry to gauge the extent of mischief played by the staff and departmental and police enquiry against them was under progress.
He said that any person giving any clue as to the use/whereabouts of the above mentioned invalid VAT-D3 outward forms will be suitably rewarded.
