Chennai Airport gets bomb threat
Chennai, Aug 1 (UNI) Chennai Airport authorities today held meeting with representatives of airlines, security agencies and BCA to tighten security measures further following the receipt of a threatening letter.
Airport sources said Airport Manager R Madhava Rao received a post card yesterday threatening to blow up the airport on August 2 if the government did not drop the cable TV scheme.
Mr Rao forwarded the letter to Airport Director Dinesh Kumar who convened the meeting with representatives of various airlines and security agencies, including the CISF and the Bureau for Civil Aviation (BCA).
The meeting decided to tighten security measures at the airport and intensify vigil.
