London, Aug 1 : Brit Benjamin Fitzsimmons nicked 165 dollars from an unlocked cash box from Whitemoor prison a maximum-security jail, when he went to visit an inmate.
Apparently Fitzsimmons spotted the box when he went to receive a phone call in the unmanned reception.
After stealing the money, he then proceeded to hide it in the bushes.
However, jail authorities were spared their blushes after they managed to catch Fitzsimmons when he came back to retrieve the loot, reports the Mirror. Fitzsimmons, 30, who lives in Liverpool pleaded guilty of burgling the prison at Fenland magistrates court, however he was bailed and will be sentenced back in his home city.
