BJP MLA accuses Cong MP of corruption
Guwahati, Aug 1 (UNI) BJP legislator from Silchar Dr Rumi Nath has levelled allegations of corruption and failure to meet election promises against Union Minister Santosh Mohan Dev, who represents Silchar in the Lok Sabha.
Dr Nath alleged here yesterday that Dr along with corrupt officials had systematically torn down the existing infrastructure and stoned the development work in the constitutency.
She claimed that the ruling Congress MP, who is also a senior minister at the Centre, had failed to fulfil his election promises, including completion of the railway gauge conversion work.
''Dr Dev himself has said that the state government, controlled by his own party, has a step motherly attitude towards the Barak Valley,'' she added.
Dr Nath also flayed the Central as well as state governments for 'failing' to control the expanding terrorist network in the country.
