Jaipur, Jul 31 (UNI) The Rajasthan Government and India's premier Talent Lifecycle Management Company --24X7 Learning-- have joined hands to run ambitious project aimed at enhancement of employability among college students across the state.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) for running the project--SkillBridge-was today signed between the company and the state government.
Higher Education Commissioner Pawan Kumar Goel and the Company CEO Karthik KS signed the MoU at a simple ceremony here.
The programme to be implemented under the aegis of Knowledge Centers will be launched in a phased manner and in the first phase Knowledge Centers will be set up in seven colleges in Dungarpur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Beawar, Sikar and Kaladehra, Mr Karthik said.
Through these Knowledge Centers, SkillBridge would systematically provide the students with enhanced employable skills and address the early training needs in bridging the skill gap between the academia and the industry, he said.
The three and a half month training course would help students to acquire job skills like communication, personality development, team work, spoken and written English, resume writing and interview preparation, Mr Karthik said.
The public private partnership(PPP) based project has been launched with participation of corporate houses since 2007. Last year seven Knowledge Centers were set up with corporate groups like Infosys, New Horizones and Genpact, Mr Goel said.
Besides seven Knowledge Centers being opened by 24X7 Learning, eight more centers would be opened this year, Mr Goel added.
