Sultanpur, Jul 31 (UNI) People blocked rail and road routes for several hours after a trader's son, who went missing four-days-ago was found dead in Gauriganj area here today.
The mob blocked the Pratapgarh-Lucknow rail route and assaulted a passanger train's driver, besides, disrupting vehicular traffic at Sultanpur-Rai Bareili main route for several hours, ASP (west) Ashok Kumar said.
The furious villagers also pelted stones on the police team that reached the spot injuring many policemen, including an Additional Superintendent of Police.
An FIR has been lodged against three people.
On July 27, businessman Ramshankar Kabadi's son Dharmendra disappeared mysteriously. A case of missing was lodged.
Mr Kabadi alleged that kidnappers made him listen his son's voice over a mobile phone on Monday.
He further charged the police of laxity saying he had lodged a case of missing and urged the police to look into the matter, however nothing was done.
