Kuwait-based company to set up training centres in Haryana

Chandigarh, Jul 31 (UNI) Haryana Industrial Training and Vocational Education Minister A C Choudhary today said the Al-Ghanim and Al-Majid Logistics Group Company (WLL) based in Kuwait would set up an Industrial Training Centre at Faridabad to impart training in various technical courses duly approved by the Director General Employment and Training.

After a meeting with the members of a delegation from Kuwait here, Mr Choudhary stated that the Company had also adopted two Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) of Haryana at Tohana and Bhodia Khera in district Fatehabad. He also gave an assurance that the State Government would provide all necessary facilities in functioning of these ITIs adopted by the company.

The company would recommend for the upgradation and adoption of new techniques and courses in these ITIs. Keeping in view the great demand of petroleum and petro-chemical engineers in the Middle East countries the state Overseas Placement Bureau would explore the possibilities to start petro-chemical training centers in the state, he added.

He said as a result of his visit to Dubai and Cyprus, Al-Ghanim and Al-Majid Logistics Group Company (WLL) received a demand for 141 technicians in different fields in Kuwait. The company had selected 12 candidates, nine technicians and three drivers and their visas had already been received.

The General Manager of the company, Jasim Bader Al Majid and Deputy General Manager of the Company, Vijay Singh Dhillon assured the Minister of all assistance in providing technical training to students.
