Koirala leaves for Colombo to attend SAARC summit
Kathmandu, Jul 31 (UNI) Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today left for Sri Lankan capital Colombo to lead the Nepalese delegation at the two-day SAARC summit from August 2.
Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat is leading the Nepalese delegation in the SAARC ministerial level meeting, while foreign secretary Gyan Chandra Acharya is participating in the standing committee meeting of the SAARC secretary level meeting.
The Maoists and UML were protesting the participation of Mr Koirala saying he cannot lead Nepal after his resignation has been already accepted.
The 35-member delegation also include Prime Minister's daughter Sujata Koirala.
