IOL Chemicals net up 49.2% in Q1

New Delhi, Jul 31 (UNI) IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd today said it registered a 49.2 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 1.91 crore for the first quarter ended June 2008 from Rs 1.28 crore during the same period last year.

The operating profit for Q1 FY09 went up 52 per cent to Rs 9.01 crore against Rs 5.9 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal.

The net sales zoomed 22 per cent to Rs 82.87 crore in comparison to Rs 68.21 crore in April-June 2007.

The company achieved the export turnover of Rs 12.20 crore during first quarter of FY09 against Rs 6.10 crores in the same period last year.
