Bombs recovered have no links to Ahmedabad, Bangalore blasts
Jaipur, Jul 31 (UNI) Four crude bombs recovered from a road near Marwar junction township in Pali district in Rajasthan during past two days seem to have no correlation with the current spree of terror blasts and the threats in Ahmedabad or Bangalore.
The circumstantial evidences suggested the crude bombs were made some time in 2002 Superintendent of Police(Pali) GL Sharma said.
The empty half litre Mobil Oil containers in which the bombs were assembled had been out of circulation in markets since 2001-2002, Mr Sharma said.
The packet of gun powder, filled in the bombs, was also recovered. The newspaper in which the explosive was wrapped also dated back to March 2002.
Besides this, pellets and sharpnels used in the bombs were also rusted, the SP added.
"It seems anti-social elements must have made the bombs 5 to 6 years ago and they have abandoned them in view of statewide vigil and search operations", he added.
