Woman smuggler detained for one year under NDPS in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jul 30 (UNI) A woman drug dealer was detained for one year under the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act in the Kashmir valley, a police spokesman said.
He said for the past some time, there were reports of sale and purchase of banned drugs, including charas, in Srinagar district.
During investigation, the name of a woman drug dealer, Hamida Bano, wife of Fayaz Ahmad Shah, resident of Zaidpora, Sheikh coloney, Lal Bazar, figured, the spokesman said.
He said Hamida was arrested several times earlier also on the same grounds but she continued her act.
Finally, the police succeeded in issuing an arrest warrant against her under the NDPS Act, he said, adding she would have to undergo the imprisonment in the Central jail here.
The other drug dealers would also face the same, he warned.
