Short circuit at Mahakaleshwar shrine
Ujjain, MP, Jul 30 (UNI) Chaos prevailed today after a motor short-circuited in the sanctum sanctorum of the ancient temple town's Mahakaleshwar shrine.
No injury was reported post the short circuit.
A large number of devotees thronged the temple since morning as it is the Hindu holy month of Shravan. The motor was used for drawing water out of the sanctum sanctorum after the jalabhishek ritual.
''The short circuit caused an outrage in the temple premises.
There was no stampede. Some television channels wrongly mentioned a stampede and shocked many devotees. Power was restored in ten minutes,'' said Mahakaleshwar Shrine Management Committee Public Relations Officer Gauri Joshi.
