Sania-Dechy crash out of Stockholm event

Stockholm, Jul 30 (UNI) Sania Mirza's disappointing run this season continued as the Indian along with her French partner Nathalie Dechy crashed out of the doubles event of the WTA's 145,000 dollars Nordea Nordic Light Open here.

Seeded second in the tournament, the the Indo-French pair was swept aside by a bouyant unseeded pair of Camille Pin of France and Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium 6-1 6-7 (2) 7-10 in one hour and 27 minutes.

Sania and Dechy began promisingly in the first set converting all three break points and saving six of the seven on their own serve.

However, their opponents recovered well in time and bounced back to take the second set in to the tie-breaker and won it.

From there on, the French-Belgian pair rode on the momentum to clinch the super tie-breaker and the seal the set and match.

Meanwhile, all is not over for the Sania, who has been seeded sixth in the singles event, and will start here her campaign against the France's Emilie Loit.
