Sangharsh Samiti agrees for talks with Vohra
Jammu, Jul 30 (UNI) Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti (SAYSS) today agreed for talks with Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra on the Amarnath land row and the ongoing situation here after they accepted the invitation from the state administration.
''We have accepted the invitation for talks but nothing will be decided without examining the proposals from the administration,'' Leela Karan Sharma, convener, SAYSS said at a press conference here after a meeting with government representatives, Principal Secretary Home Anil Goswami and Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda.
Mr Sharma said further course of action depends upon the offers, which would be tabled by the state administration during the dialogue and added, ''we are firm with our stand and no second thought will be given to any of the proposals unless the independence of Shrine Board be restored.'' Mr Sharma, however, said congenial atmosphere is mandatory to hold talks across the table with the administration for negotiation on the ongoing issue.
''The Samiti will never let down the sacrifice of Kuldeep Verma, who attained martyrdom demanding back the land to the Shrine Board,'' the SAYSS convener added.
Meanwhile, he also demanded immediate removal of Dy S P Akhnoor and SHO Domana for barbaric incidents in Muthi.
