Lucknow, Jul 30 (UNI) Keeping his cards close to his chest regarding joining the UPA government, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today announced that ''personally, he is not interested in going to the Centre.'' ''There are no talks in progress nor any invitation from the Congress to join the Centre,'' Mr Yadav flatly said.
Talking to reporters here, the SP Chief said the country was above any political interest and the support to the Centre on the civil nuclear deal was given under that context.
''We have not considered the issue of joining the Centre yet,'' he said while refusing to comment on the media report that the SP would be getting five ministers in the present UPA government.
Mr Yadav said during the recently held party's state executive meeting, he had told the party leaders that he would not go to the Centre at any cost.
