Moderate tremors in several parts of Maharashtra, no casualty
Mumbai, Jul 30 (UNI) A mild earthquake, measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale, was experienced in several parts of Maharashtra, including the capital, early today.
The seismology department sources said a mild tremor, with its epicentre at 17.4 degree north and 73.7 degree east of Satara district of the state, was experienced at around 0030 hours.
The tremor was also felt in the south-central and western suburbs of the city, including Lower Parel, Khar Road, Bandra and Lokhandwala complex.
However, no casualty or damage was reported, sources added.
