Challan against for EE and others presented in court in J

Sriangar, Jul 30 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (VO) has produced a challan against a former Executive Engineer and others in a local court in a corruption case.

A spokesman for the VO said the challan was produced in the court of Special Judge Anti-corruption, Kashmir, against Nazir Ahmad Shah, then Executive Engineer, Noor Mohammadd, then Storekeeper Roads and Buildings Division Sopore and about half a businessmen for misappropriation of Rs 6.34 lakh in purchase of stores at highly exorbitant rates.

He said the officials have purchased plastic water storage tanks, paints, primer, warnish, distemper, rapidite and reflective road studs from these favourite dealers on highly exorbitant rates during the period 2001-2003.
