Centre has failed to control terrorist activities: Nallu Reddy
Tirupati, Jul 30 (UNI) In view of the threat to the internal security following the Bangalore and Ahmedabad serial bomb blasts, National BJP Secretary Nallu Indrasena Reddy today said the Manmohan singh Government at the Centre has failed to control terrorists activists in the country and demanded to revoke POTA.
Addressing at a press conference here, Mr Reddy alleged that the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh and the UPA government at the Centre had not arrested anyone involved in the recent bomb blasts at Hyderabad and also at various places in the country and were maintaining ''soft attitude'' towards terrorists for their vote bank politics.
''If the Centre was not ready to re-introduce a legislation like POTA, the ISI operations would continue,'' he cautioned.
Denying BJP leader Sushma Swaraj's statement that Congress-led UPA government had a role in the weekend blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, he said the party would not allow such statements and the Congress was not involved in the blasts.
Mr reddy alleged that the YSR Government in Andhra Pradesh was showing smooth attitude towards the minorities like MIM MLA who fired in the air when the Municipal officials demolished illegal structures at busy market in Abids in Hyderabad recently for their vote bank politics and the police have not taken any action against the offenders.
The BJP leader arrived here to receive its President Rajnath Singh tomorrow but his scheduled programme at Srikalahasti was cancelled due to some reason.
BJYM State leader Bhanuprakash Reddy and Chittoor BJP leader including Raja Reddy participated in the meeting.
