SR to operate special trains to Rameswaram, Tirunelveli

Chennai, July 29 (UNI) The Southern Railway (SR) today announced special trains to Rameswaram and Tirunelveli to clear the extra rush of passengers.

According to a release here, the Chennai Egmore-Rameswaram Special (train 0603) would leave Chennai Egmore at 2025 hrs on July 31 and arrive Rameswaram at 1130 hrs, the next day.

The Chennai Egmore-Tirunelveli special (train 0607) would leave Chennai Egmore at 2315 hrs on August nine, 11, 16 and 18, and arrive Tirunelveli at 1245 hrs, the next day respectively.

The Tirunelveli-Chennai Egmore Special (train 0608) would leave Tirunelveli at 1415 hrs on August 10, 12, 17 and 19, and arrive Chennai Egmore at 0400 hrs, the next day respectively, the release said.

Advance reservation for the above trains would commence tomorrow, it said.
