People appealed to stay extra-vigilant in Jammu
Jammu, Jul 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police today appealed to people to stay extra-vigilant in view of serial blasts in some states of the country.
''Do not touch any un-attended object/baggage lying near crowded areas like Railway Stations, Bus Stand, religious places and others.
In case any such unidentified object is found anywhere Police Control Room Jammu may be informed immediately,'' police said in a statement.
Police have also cautioned people not to believe any rumours about any mishap or any sacrilegious act floated by the vested interests without confirming from the Police Control Room, Jammu.
Police are suspicious about inhuman designs of anti-national elements in the state, particularly in Jammu, which is witnessing unrest due to the ongoing agitation for restoration of forest land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) in south Kashmir.
''Militants may find it easy to strike in Jammu city believing that the intention of forces is to pacify agitating people,'' a senior police official said.
