Mandal Revenue Inspector arrested by ACB

Hyderabad, July 29: Uyyalawada Mandal Revenue Inspector in Kurnool District was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 for doing an official favour.

Idiga Venkata Narasimhulu was caught red-handed by ACB officials yesterday and the amount recovered from him. He will be produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE&ACB Cases in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, acting on information officials of Sub-Registrar Office in Ananthapur were indulging in corruption,ACB staff conducted a surprise check on Monday, July 28.

Unaccounted amount of Rs 32,497 was seized from nine unauthorised private persons (document writers) alleged to have been collecting bribes on behalf of the Sub-Registrar office staff from the parties/persons who came for registration of documents.

Also, unaccounted amount of Rs 2,150 was seized from Data Entry operator Gulyam Ramakrishna and Rs 23,485 was found under the drinking water can in the office premises. A total of Rs 58,162 was seized during the surprise check.
