Two drowned, 7 injured in Kashmir accident
Srinagar Jul 28 (UNI) A migrant and a child drowned and seven others were injured in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
Sources said a group of children were taking bath in the river Jhelum near Hanuman Mandir this afternoon. when one of the child drowned.
Efforts were on to fish out his body, sources said.
Nawraz Alam (25), son of Abdul Hassan, hailing from Bihar drowned in the river Jhelum at Kadalbal Charsoo in Awantipora.
His body was later fished out at a distance.
The sources said a vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian at Sumbal on the Srinagar-Sonmarg road. He was hospitalised later.
In another accident, six passengers were injured when an Army vehicle hit the cab in which they were travelling near Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals.
