Six killed, five injured in road accident in Punjab
Gurdaspur, Jul 28 (UNI) Six people, including three women were killed and five others injured when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck on the bridge over the Beas river in Sri Hargobindpur town in the district this morning, police sources here said.
According to the police, the accident took place when the car was overtaking another vehicle and it rammed into the truck coming from the opposite direction. The injured were rushed to the civil hospital at Sri Hargobindpur.
The deceased, all of whom were in the car were identified as Sadh Singh, Jaspal Singh, Chanan Kaur, Hans Kaur and Amar Kaur, all from Bharth village and Chanan Singh from Vidhwan village. The police has registered a case against the truck driver.
